It's Another One of Those Evenings


It's, ahh, 7:30, there's another game on, and the laundry machine rattles away in the hall. Then they switch to the quiz show and talk to the screen like its talking to them. Then something else comes on, but, really, it's just something else.

I like the warm piles of laundry that they sort through while they stare until they later fall asleep. Get into that laundry, warm and like a sleepy bear. But then they pull it away.

There were noodles for dinner. Gray likes them enough to risk trouble, but that's his issue, not mine. I'll watch him run off to the sleep room, being chased, and then they forget and he comes back later. Which is how he works. You chase him off, and he always comes back later.

And not long after all this it goes dark around here, and we settle down. And that's why there's no difference between day and night. We're always settling down somewhere.
